Step Up To Leadership Certification
Step Up to Leadership Certification is designed for income eligible community-minded people wanting to make a difference. The 12-session curriculum is designed to help participants:
- Understand board responsibilities, parliamentary procedures, how to run a committee meeting, and public speaking tips;
- Understand themselves and others and how to build strong relationships; and
- Learn in a safe and fun environment.
This certification is offered free of charge to anyone who is interested in making a difference in their community and who is willing to commit to attending all 12 sessions. Eligibility Requirements - Household income may not exceed 125% of the federal poverty guidelines.
Step-up to Leadership Graduates are able to apply for a $100-$500 mini-grant(s) to support a community project that can be used to make a difference in their community. Applications are reviewed for consistency with Economic Security Corporation's Mission and Values.
